HANSON Funeral services for Edwin E. Hanson of Snohomish were held Tuesday afternoon from St. John's Episcopal Church at 3 p.m. The Rev. James E Price officiated. Interment was held in GAR Cemetery. Ar- rangements were directed by Purdy and Dawson Funeral Home. Mr. Hanson had been a resident of Snoh0nish since 1910, coming from Milton, N.D. He was born in Milton March 28, 1884, and at the time of his passing was 79 years of age. For many years, Mr. Hanson operated a poultry farm on Rt. 1, Snohomish, and also was a carpenter for some years at the Naval Station at Bremer- ton. He was also in later years an instructor in woodshop at Monroe Reformatory, where he retired some years ago. Mr. Hanson in his younger years was a very active member of St. John's Episcopal Church. He was a veteran of 12 years' service in the National Guard and served as a captain during World War I. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Crete Grahn, Beaverton, Ore., Mrs. Gay Cusworth, Oak Harbor, Mrs Karen Jett, Lake Oswego, Ore.; a sister, Mrs. Juliet Gar- ner, Snohomish. Seven great randchildren also survive. Pallbearers were Rag Arkin- stall, Emil Rainey, Walter Hereth, Robert Sparlin, Harry Dunbar and D. B. Lynde.
